A well fed and exercised dog makes a happy and contented pet, and nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see them happy to return to stay with Gyp (my dog) and I. It is a great opportunity for your dog to socialise with other dogs. It is amazing how dogs from different homes settle down and love to play with each other, and the dogs who are formerly from rescue homes just sit, watch and gradually come out of their shell, start to play and gain confidence.
Gyp my Border Collie is now 10yrs old and has a very calming influence on newcomers and accepts all the variety of dogs that arrive to stay, maybe it’s because she gets to sample their food!
I am licensed, insured and police checked, and will be pleased to supply you with references.
I look after dogs not just for holidays, but also emergencies, hospital appointments, day trips and weddings. (I can even bring the dog to the wedding for family photos). I can let customer ’s dogs out mid-day or take them for a walk, given reasonable notice.
"It is evident that you are providing a high standard of care for the dogs and are an experienced animal carer, Your business provides an alternative and complimentary service to traditional boarding kennels for dog owners who prefer their pet to be cared for in a home from home environment." (Eden District Council’s Licensing Dept)
The satisfaction I get from seeing all the dogs well exercised, happy and lying asleep on the settee or their beds while I am pottering around, washing their dishes, bedding and preparing food is fantastic - I have never laughed so much! This has got to be the best job in the world!
